Château Mentone is also a family story, an estate rebuilt with Marie-Pierre’s vision and continuously developed under the joint leadership of Nicolas, Martin, Anaïs, Lorène, as well as all our collaborators, who are integral members of the great Mentone Family.
Marie-Pierre
Born in Lyon to Burgundian parents, she began her career in communications and event planning alongside her father, Roger Caille, founder of the Jet Service company.
She then created her own business dedicated to public relations and large sporting & cultural events.
A fan of the South and Mediterranean atmospheres, she and her partner Cyril, a pastry chef at renowned Lyon establishments at the time, dreamed of settling in this sunnier region and opening a guesthouse…
Destiny took its course through a meeting with a real estate agent who introduced her to the Mentone property. The rest, as they say, is history: Château Mentone became her wonderful "canvas" for expression, where through the wines and hospitality, she gave her all for nearly 20 years...
Nicolas
After studying and gaining professional experience in marketing, including five years with an international watchmaking and jewelry house, Nicolas made the decision to join his mother in 2018, following the early departure of the estate’s operations manager at the time.
A young father seeking purpose, like many of his generation, he is motivated by the appreciation of the terroir and the human-scale career the estate offers.
Initially focused on his areas of expertise—sales and marketing—he quickly developed a passion for working the land and tending the vines.
Martin
At just 10 years old when his mother bought the estate, Martin spent his summers experiencing the tourist seasons, immersed in the rhythm of the guest tables and summer activities.
Since then, driven by an unwavering desire to contribute to the estate's growth, he shaped his studies around this project, making it his life’s goal.
He joined the estate in 2018, graduated from the Paul Bocuse Institute, and has since been focused on developing the estate’s wine tourism offerings and activities.
Anaïs
Nicolas’s wife, Anaïs began her professional life with a background in marketing and sales in the textile industry. After several experiences in various companies, working as a product manager and textile buyer, this Southern France enthusiast, in search of light and warmth, was delighted by the family’s move to Provence.
She officially joined the estate in 2019 to bring her negotiation skills and good cheer to the company's commercial development.
As the Estate's Commercial Director, she manages the wine distribution and oversees the marketing of events and weddings held at the estate, working closely with her teams.
Lorène
After studying communications in Lyon and spending a year in London, Lorène chose to join Martin in the South to start her professional life.
She took her first steps into the hospitality industry by working as a Digital Communications Manager alongside a Michelin-starred chef at a prestigious hotel.
In 2021, she joined the family adventure for her first season!
As the Accommodation Manager, she is the one who welcomes you with a smile when you visit the estate.
The Family Mentone
Mentone is the story of our family, but we would be nothing without our collaborators, both old and new, who work every day to make the estate shine.
Farm workers, receptionists, housekeepers, stewards, chefs... they are all part of the great Mentone family.
Our estate is, first and foremost, a family business, a key characteristic that defines both the atmosphere, the values, and the kindness that prevail here.
For us, it is a daily commitment and attention to maintaining this spirit so that both collaborators and guests can fully enjoy it.
